Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a member of our team in Education and Learning Department.

The postholder will provide administrative support within the under and postgraduate medical education support team; Education Centre. Duties will include administrative support required in organising and supporting Resuscitation Courses, Simulation courses, study days, answering the telephone/responding to emails, photocopying/scanning, filing and supporting room bookings across Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Trust. The postholder will be supporting the organisation to demonstrate compliance with standards that are essential for both under and postgraduate medical education.

It is essential the postholder possesses IT skills and is able to use a range of MS office packages and has excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office. It is also essential that the postholder has experience working as part of a team, has excellent communication and customer service skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be based predominantly at the Education Resource Centre, Birmingham Women's & Children's Edgbastonsite, however, cover across both sites will also be required on occasion

Key relationships will be:

- undergraduate medical education

- postgraduate medical education

- staff who use the education centres through bookings

- external course/conferenceorganisers and facilitators

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE & NATURE OF EXPERIENCE

  • Previous administration or assistant experience

PROFESSIONAL / MANAGERIAL / SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, use of internet
  • Accuracy with in-putting of data.

Desirable

  • Previous administration experience for covering diaries and meetings as required.
