Gynaecology Clinic Coordinator

Job summary

To provide operational support to the Gynaecology Management Team in meeting Clinical Group and Organisational objectives. The post will specifically help to support the Management team to ensure that quality, activity and financial targets are met.

To exercise initiative, independent judgement and decision-making with situations arising from the duties described below to ensure an effective, high quality service.

To coordinate all administrative activities relating to creating clinics and booking follow up Gynaecology appointments.

The majority of this role will involve supporting Gynaecology, however, there may be an element of supporting the wider admin teams to cover leave. Consequently, the duties undertaken by the post holder may be extended, if appropriate.

  • Good standard of general education to GCSE standard or a recognised training qualification

Desirable

  • At least two years' experience

Knowledge

Essential

  • Excellent administration, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience particularly Word and Excel

  • Proven, competent user of EPIC EPR System
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the GDPR and the Data protection act 1998 and patient confidentiality
  • Understanding / knowledge of the patient journey within the NHS environment
  • At least 5 years NHS experience in an operational area (knowledge acquired through experience.)
