Job summary
Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a full time Deputy Commercial Finance manager.
Reporting to the Commercial Finance manager this role will support and deputise in the pro-active running and development of the finance team for a Clinical Division.
The role will ensure a professional and dynamic service is provided to the Clinical Group Management team, individual budget holders, and other relevant officers within the Trust. Providing financial management support and advice to a group of financially & operationally complex clinical specialties within the trust.
We are seeking a forward thinking, highly motivated and focused individual who is capable of contributing to and influencing the financial future of the Trust.
The Trust is based in Birmingham, and also at a number of small satellite sites throughout the city. This post is based at the main hospital site in the city centre; however the post holder may on occasions be required to attend meetings at other sites as necessary.

Main duties of the job
The Deputy Commercial Finance Manager or DCFM will provide comprehensive financial management services to the Medicine & Genetics Division and assurance to the Senior Deputy Commercial Finance Manager (SDCFM) & Commercial Finance Manager (CFM) of the accuracy and completeness of the financial position each month.
Additionally, they will cover for the Senior Deputy Commercial Financial Manager [Medicine] providing Financial Management support and advice to Senior Clinical & Operational budget holders and other relevant officers within the Trust.
