This exciting role sits within Health in Mind, a large and vibrant team of Psychologists and Liaison Psychiatrist. The post holder will contribute and support the Lead/ Consultant Psychologist in the provision of psychological assessment and intervention to children, young people and families accessing support through the Health in Mind service. In addition the post holder will support the management team, leading strategy and development of the Health in Mind service and leading development, innovation and feedback within their therapeutic stream. The postholder will need to be experienced in establishing care pathways, service development and implementing waiting list initiatives as well as operational leadership of service delivery. Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the leadership team in the provision of Peadiatric psychological treatment for children, young people and families living with a health condition. They will lead on workstreams that operationalize the strategic service delivery.
The post holder will be based within the Health in Mind team at Birmingham Children's Hospital. they will provide leadership and oversight of operational aspects of the Health in Mind service and shape clinical priorities according to organisational priorities, patient outcomes, waiting times and diverse clinical needs of the children and families. the post holder will work closely with their health in mind leadership team to review the strategic direction and vision of the service. The post holder will provide clinical leadership to the team and contribute to the team ethos and the team's connections with the wider hospital, psychology community of practice and universities to raise the profile and encourage collaborative working with key stakeholders.
