Job summary
Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust (BWC) is seeking to recruit a Specialty doctor to work with the Multi-Disciplinary Team treating children and adolescents up to the age of 18 in our specialist inpatient unit at the Parkview clinic. Parkview clinic offers a range of opportunities to work on a general adolescent unit, an assessment unit and a specialist eating disorder unit.
The post holder will support delivery of specialist psychiatric input, psychiatric assessment and treatment for young people admitted with various mental disorders, as well as contribute to providing psychiatric & medical risk management. The post holder will have a close working relationship with the consultant psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team based at the Parkview clinic.
From an overall professional perspective, they will support the Medical Lead, Medical Director for FTB and MH services and Chief Medical Officer of Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust (BWC). In turn all are ultimately responsible within the Trust to the Chief Executive Officer.
