The post holder will be responsible for the management of the Nursing services withinthe Fertility Centre team on a day-to-day basis.
Acting as a professional role model and skilled practitioner responsible for all aspects of patientcare and patient experience leading and coordinating the Nursing team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will demonstrate visible, accessible leadership in line with the values of trust.
They will have continuing responsibility and accountability for the management and organisation of the nursing team.
Overall responsibility for ensuring the department is clean and well maintained, patient focused environment in which privacy and dignity is promoted and sustained.
Provide leadership which ensures patient, and staff wellbeing is protected and improve their experiences of healthcare.
The post holder will effectively manage resources including pay and non-pay nursingbudgets and take overall responsibility for monitoring staffing and skill mix levels.
The department will be managed in an effective and efficient manner making the best use of resources.
Responsible for monitoring and acting on patient feedback to improve care and experience. The post holder will proactively manage and resolve conflict in challenging situations, PALs issues and complaints using advanced communication skills and escalating to senior colleagues as appropriate.
Inspiring excellence, the post holder will act as a supervisor and mentor for all members of the department team establishing a learning environment in which staff well-being is promoted and in which staff can develop to their full potential through education, training and appraisal.
