Specialist Cleft Nurse - Cleft Lip & Palate

Job summary

The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner who will manage their own caseload and the individual needs of those patients and their carers. They will demonstrate a sound understanding of the issues related to the identification, assessment, treatment and management of our patients including those that have had antenatal diagnosis of a cleft lip. The Specialist Nurse will work within the multidisciplinary team to ensure there is an effective, efficient and holistic service for children born with a cleft lip and/or palate and their carers. The post holder will work independently within the community, the hospital of birth and Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital

To co-ordinate, develop and maintain high standards of evidence-based nursing care for children with cleft lip and/or palate and their carers. Further details can be found in the job description
