Job summary
Post holder will be part of the Financial Management team and supporting the Medicine Division at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
A qualified CCAB accountant, the post holder must have good interpersonal skills and be able to liaise effectively with staff at all levels within the organisation as well as staff in other NHS and non-NHS organisations. The post holder will be able to work to strict deadlines and be capable of working under pressure and autonomously within defined standards and policies.
Main duties of the job
To support and deputise for the Commercial Finance Manager in the pro-active running and development of the finance team for the Medicine Division. Providing financial management support and advice to a group of financially & operationally complex clinical specialities within the trust.
To ensure that a professional and dynamic service is provided to the Clinical Group Management team, individual budget holders, and other relevant officers within the Trust.
