Our dynamic practice placement team are seeking a motivated dynamic individual to assist and support us in the delivery of our practice placements across Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital.
The post holder will work with the (non-medical) practice placements team in supporting our students in practice.
This post is based at Birmingham Children's Hospital; with the ability to work a cross-site is essential and the post holder is required to also work as part of the wider PPM team at Birmingham Women's, Mental Health Services and associated satellite sites.
Main duties of the job

Placements:
- Have a primary focus on the support of Non-Medical Education & Training (NMET) Students on placement and Mentors in clinical practice.
- Liaise with HEI's, Ward/Department Managers and Professional Clinical staff to ensure that the clinical education, development and advancement of the professional workforce needs are identified and addressed using approved, proven and credible methods.
- Be a visible role model, providing clinical support and practical guidance to wards and departments across the Trust; with a majority of the time spent in the clinical environment, which includes all clinical areas.
- Participate in audit, identify deficit in clinical practice, linking with Education and Learning to formulate and implement action plans.
