Job summary

We Invite applications for the exciting opportunity within the Birmingham Womens Fertility Centre at Birmingham Womens and Childrens NHS Foundation Trust.

The Fertility Centre has been providing exceptional care to couples and individuals experiencing fertility problems for over 40 years and is regionally, nationally and internationally recognised for its infertility care and research. We are an expert team employing a holistic approach to treatment. We are the only specialist fertility centre in the Midlands licensed to provide a full range of services from diagnosis of infertility to specialist fertility surgery, assisted conception treatment and have a nationally leading pre-implantation genetic diagnosis service.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, well-motivated person capable of working in a busy and challenging environment as a Clerical Assistant. This post requires an individual with strong administrative, clerical and communication skills and show a keen interest in our area and have excellent communication skills, a good telephone manner and a sound understanding of the need for confidentiality. The suitable candidate will be organised and punctual, have a good command of the English language, be computer literate and preferably have some knowledge of NHS systems and processes.

The Successful candidate will work primarily within our Clerical Team, whilst also being integrated within our wider Administrative structures to support the wider administrative team and provide cross cover as and when required.

The Fertility Department generally shuts down for a period of time in December and there is an expectation that staff save up sufficient annual leave to cover this period.
