Job summary

This is a key role for the Trust at an exciting time in development of strategic workforce planning, recruitment and temporary staffing. The role will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive workforce plan, adhering to national reporting requirements and developing organisation capability in workforce planning. The post-holder will also have senior responsibility for recruitment and temporary staffing to bring the functions together to deliver ambitious workforce availability improvements.

The postholder will provide leadership to a number areas within the Talent portfolio, covering:

  • Strategic workforce planning
  • Attraction - including Career Pathways
  • Talent Acquisition - including volume recruitment and headhunting for senior and hard
  • to fill roles
  • Resourcing - medical and non-medical
  • Contingent workforce - bank and agency
  • Operational recruitment standards and oversight.

Main duties of the job

Provide leadership and direction with management responsibility of Recruitment and Temporary staffing Teams

Responsibility for developing and implementing the strategic workforce plan and all associated reporting requirements (national, regional, ICS and local)

Ensure talent workstreams are organised effectively and delivered.

Being solutions focused is a key part of this role.

Workforce Planning experience and highly expert knowledge is essential for this role along with operational delivery in talent related areas.
