Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for one substantive and one fixed term Admin Assistant to join our Secretarial and Administration Team in the busy Clinical Genetics Unit.

The Clinical Genetics service provides diagnostic, counselling and support for individuals who have, or at risk of, a variety of inherited conditions.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, pro-active and well organised. Duties are to include data entry, word processing, telephone cover and clinic reception. The use of the computerised system to create new patient records while ensuring consistence in accuracy is required.

You should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English with accurate keyboard skills. You will also have good communication and organisational skills and be able to manage your own time and work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
