Are you passionate about education, practice placement, and clinical education?
Our dynamic education team are seeking a motivated individual to assist and support us in the delivery of our practice placements across Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital.
The post holder will support the development of the (non-medical) practice placements team with a primary focus on Midwifery student placements. The post holder will support the Midwifery practice placement manager in providing support and advise across the non-medical education career pathway and will aid the student transition from pre-registration to becoming a newly registered practitioner.
If you possess sound midwifery clinical experience; and you have experience in supporting students and teaching with good communication skills we would like to hear from you.
This post is based at Birmingham Women's Hospital, flexible working across sites is essential, including Mental Health Services and associated satellite sites.

Placements:
- Have a primary focus on the support of Non-Medical Education & Training (NMET) Students on placement and Mentors in clinical practice.
- Liaise with HEI's, Ward/Department Managers and Professional Clinical staff to ensure that the clinical education, development and advancement of the professional workforce needs are identified and addressed using approved, proven and credible methods.
- Be a visible role model, providing clinical support and practical guidance to wards and departments across the Trust; with a majority of the time spent in the clinical environment, which includes all clinical areas.
- Participate in audit, identify deficit in clinical practice, linking with Education and Learning to formulate and implement action plans
