Job summary

The Radiology department at Birmingham Women's Hospital provides a wide range of diagnostic examinations using multiple imaging modalities such as x-rays, fluoroscopy, ultrasound (obstetrics, gynaecology and paediatric), CT and MRI. A team consisting of Consultant Radiologists, Registrars, Clinical Managers, Sonographers, Radiographers, Health Care Assistants, Operational Management and Administrators, work together to deliver exceptional patient care.

Main duties of the job

Within this role, you will provide leadership, support and guidance to a team which works to deliver the day-to-day requirements of a busy Radiology department, all of which will positively contribute to the experiences of our patients and staff across the department.

You will require strong communication skills and an ability to work with a range of stakeholders that engage with the Radiology team. By adopting an approach of continuous improvement, you will work with senior management to identify, implement, and improve operational processes to deliver an efficient and optimum service.
