Job summary
The post holder will be directly responsible to the Associate Director of Operations and Transformation within the WMCPC Commissioning Hub with specific responsibility for leading on the contracting, commissioning, finance and performance portfolio within the Commissioning Hub.
The post holder should ensure there is sufficient contract monitoring and management of the services commissioned by the WMCPC through a robust contract management process, that the WMCPC finances are well managed and there is robust performance reporting and monitoring processes in place to provide required assurances to BWC as Lead Provider, all partners of the WMCPC and NHSE.
This role is pivotal in the efficient and effective running of the Commissioning Hub, with relationship management of key stakeholders paramount to the success of the Provider Collaborative.
The role provides an opportunity to be part of new developments in healthcare and provides a platform for wider professional exposure in the healthcare sector.
Main duties of the job
This is a senior leadership role with autonomy to shape the contracting, finance and performance portfolio to ensure that healthcare contracts for the WMCPC are negotiated effectively, represent the best value for the WMCPC and providers deliver to their contractual obligations. The post holder will be required to influence decisions that will impact on the future strategy of the WMCPC, supporting the AD for Operations and Transformation on explaining the importance as subject matter expert to Executive level in order to drive change.
The post holder will be a key member of the Commissioning Hub Senior Leadership Team, supporting the Associate Director of Operationas and Transformation (and wider Commissioning Hub colleagues) on key deliverables, primarily within the portfolio of work defined, but with an expectation that leadership is demonstrated across the Commissioning Hub as a whole.
The West Midlands CAMHs Provider Collaborative (WMCPC) Commissioning Hub is a delegated function acting on behalf of Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust (BWC) as they are Lead Provider for the WMCPC.
The Commissioning Hub has a key purpose of acting with delegated autonomy to ensure there is robust monitoring of all providers who are party to the WMCPC and that the strategic objectives of the WMCPC are realised through an agreed programme of work.
