This is an excellent opportunity to join a high performing organisation and our expanding team of Phlebotomists. Specialised Medicine requires an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the staff within this busy team. Our philosophy is to enhance family centered care, working in partnership with parents and carers and the wider multi-disciplinary team. The posts involve day to day participation in delivering a high quality, caring and efficient phlebotomy service for 0-16 year olds.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be required to work 3 days a week both alone and as part of the team. They will be expected to liaise with other healthcare professionals throughout the Hospital in a professional manner at all times. Experience of performing Paediatric phlebotomy by venepuncture is essential. The post holder is required to collect blood samples by venepuncture and capillary methods from patients, in our outpatients department and on the wards. The position involves flexible working and participation in a weekend rota (yet to be confirmed).
