Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our dedicated GI nursing team based at our Chelsea site within The Royal Marsden Hospital.As a CNS, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert clinical care, providing specialist support from diagnosis through treatment and beyond, ensuring patients and their families receive compassionate, coordinated and high-quality care.The successful candidate will work closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, including consultants, allied health professionals, and specialist nurses, to deliver seamless patient-centred care. The role includes participation in late clinics and cross-site working where needed to support the service.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced nurse with:-Significant post-registration experience in HPB or GI surgical oncology care-Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills-The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team-A commitment to holistic, patient-centred care-Enthusiasm for service improvement, education and professional development

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist (HPB surgical CNS) to join our dedicated team based at the Chelsea site.

The HPB surgical CNS provides advanced nursing expertise supporting patients with HPB tumours from diagnosis through all stages of disease. This role is integral to delivering effective, compassionate, and efficient specialist care to patients with complex GI conditions and their families. The postholder will also provide cross-site cover across The Royal Marsden locations when required, ensuring that the patient remains at the centre of all aspects of care.
