Main duties of the job
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic educator to help drive forward the School's strategic vision: transforming cancer care by inspiring, challenging, and developing the next generation of innovative health professionals through world-class education.In this internationally focused role, you will be part of a dedicated team of experienced Lecturers and Lecturer Practitioners, working closely with Programme Leads to deliver high-quality teaching across our post-registration and postgraduate programmes. These include bespoke short programmes and study days, delivered both in-person and through cutting-edge virtual learningplatforms to a global audience.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping student learning by leading, coordinating, and delivering validated modules that reflect the latest advancements in cancer care. Education - Be responsible for high quality teaching and the facilitation of student learning,using an innovative and reflective approach to education. This includes:
Designing and delivering specific teaching sessions and study days both in the classroom and through e-learning using a range of appropriate teaching strategies to suit the level of learners, the setting, and the topic, including technology-enhanced and experiential learning, one-to-one coaching, large and small group teaching, seminars, and simulation of clinical situations.
Participating in the development of teaching in the School, sharing and reflecting on ideas and experiences; mentoring colleagues; evaluating teaching activity and outcomes.
Participating in Peer Review of teaching, receiving, and giving supportive feedback and advice to help sustain and enhance the quality of teaching in the School.
Being involved in the evaluation of teaching and learning activities, ensuring that education and practice are linked.
