An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join RM Medicines as a Pharmacist. The successful candidate will be integral to providing leadership and direction to the pharmacy team with an aim of providing a high-quality outpatient pharmacy service to patients at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
RM Medicines is a wholly owned subsidiary, created by The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust to provide outpatient pharmacy services, focussed on ensuring efficient and safe supply of medicines to patients.
Individuals recruited to the RM Medicines team will be supported to provide expert care to oncology patients and will benefit from training and the learning experiences of working closely with an institute providing outstanding, leading-edge treatment to cancer patients.
This post would suit a candidate with community pharmacy experience wishing to make a change into the hospital environment, for which appropriate training will be provided.
We are looking for apart-time colleague (15 to 22.5 hours/week).
Main duties of the job
Lead the efficient and effective delivery of a high-quality outpatient pharmacy service, ensuring professionalism and compliance with GPhC standards and relevant legislation.
Screen, dispense and check prescriptions in accordance with local and national policies, procedures and guidelines, referring any prescribing queries appropriately for confirmation or revision.
Oversee activity across all dispensary workflows and ensure work is completed in a timely manner in line with pharmacy Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Implement clinical policies, procedures and prescribing guidelines under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager.
Participate in audits, error investigations, and implement service improvements.
Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Manager and deputise when required.
Act as Responsible Pharmacist in line with GPhC regulations.
Contribute to the management and administration of the business.

To provide clinical and professional leadership and advice to all pharmacy staff working for RM Medicines.
