As Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative tumour group pathways and consultant liaison services, ensuring world-class care for private patients. Working across Chelsea, Cavendish Square and Sutton, you will collaborate with senior leaders, consultants and shared services to deliver strategic projects, optimise performance and enhance patient experience. Main duties of the job

The Private Care Division comprises of clinical business units, led by two Deputy Director of Operations.

The Service Manager Clinical Services is responsible for providing strong visual leadership to effectively manage the operational delivery & development of the services supporting the patient pathway, which includes the pathway co-ordinators, theatres, imaging and the medical day unit Specialty Doctors. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of patient pathways within these areas, ensuring the service and experience for consultants and private patients is responsive, innovative and provided to the highest possible standard to the needs those who wish to access Private Care at the Trust.

The post holder will support the deputy Director of Operations as required to ensure all operational, performance and financial targets are met and support their services in moving forward agreed projects to improve service delivery. The postholder will problem solve as appropriate and develop and implement lasting solutions in conjunction with colleagues.

The post holder will directly line manage the Haematology, Imaging and theatres co-ordinators and have operational management responsibility for the following services:TheatresInpatientsImaging (including radiotherapy)Private Patients Specialist and Speciality Doctors

  • Track record of continuous professional and management development

  • Masters level qualification or equivalent specialist knowledge acquired by experience.

  • Proven ability to work to strict deadlines, including ensuring that the resources of the team are used efficiently to meet all deadlines
  • Experience of being a leader managing and delivering clinical services during a period of transformation change.

  • Evidence of proven experience in delivery of service improvement and strategies
