Job summary
The post holder has a distinct level of responsibility to patients with dermatological issues including skin cancer / in providing a comprehensive specialist nursing service to the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, working within a team of advanced clinical nurses. The post holder will work in conjunction withthe existing Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists and specifically provide advanced dermatological nursing care to patients with local and advanced cancer. To assist in the provision of professional and clinical leadership and expertise in the dermatological care of the patient with cancer acting as a resource and consultant to provide information and support to patients, carers and staff
Main duties of the job
1.1. To assist in the provision of professional and clinical leadership and expertise in the dermatological care of the patient with cancer acting as a resource and consultant to provide information and support to patients, carers and staff.
1.2. To contribute to the formulation of policies and patient information.
1.3. To liaise effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary health care team to achieve a synchronized specialist service.
1.4. To help deliver teaching on specialist course, diploma and degree courses, as well as informal one-to-one teaching with staff
