Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is a centre of excellence for research, development, education and care in the treatment of cancer.The opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Housekeeper to work as an integral part of the team ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment on the Children & Young People's Day Unit. They will work closely with cleaning services, nurses and HCAs to promote infection control and safety within the unit, maintaining the quality of standards expected within the Royal Marsden.

Main duties of the job

The Ward Housekeeper will work as an integral part of the ward team. He/she will be responsible for theco-ordination of all patient facilities/services in the ward area and for ensuring a clean, safe andcomfortable environment. The main elements of this role are ensuring the delivery of cleaning, cateringand minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs, asdetermined by the ward sister/charge nurse. The postholder will be required to work closely withcontractors and support services departments. He/she will monitor quality standards and rectifydeficiencies
