Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed Health Care Assistant to work with us, who has a real interest in cancer care. The post holder requires excellent communication skills, be highly organised and deliver care to the highest standards. You will be working as part of a team and provide support to the nursing team. The post is full-time 37.5 hours per week.
Wiltshaw Ward is a Private Care Medical/Haematology/Oncoclogy. We specialise in providing cellular therapy treatment, such as, CAR-T therapy and TILs (trial). We also perform autologous transplants and high dose SACT patients. The Ward consists of 17 en-suite side rooms, 5 of which are lobbied negative pressure rooms.
Main duties of the job
- To carry out in a responsible and efficient way, the nursing care for patients which has been drawn up in conjunction with the co-ordinator of the shift.
- To demonstrate the ability to develop a greater awareness and understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities, and work autonomously under supervision of a registered nurse.
- As an integral member of the nursing team work with team members to ensure the maintenanceof an efficient, safe, clean and pleasant environment for all patients.
