Job summary

We are recruiting for a maternity cover Volunteer Services Manager to lead a small team of volunteer's coordinators who support many volunteers in various roles across the Trust. Our volunteers provide a valuable service that compliments our staff and provides non-clinical support to patients, carers and families. The Volunteer Services Manager role is a busy role that requires staff management in both Chelsea and Sutton as well as being responsible for the effective delivery of services provided by our volunteers. The successful candidate will report to the Trust, Head of Volunteers and support the ongoing development of the service.

Main duties of the job

Manage a team of highly skilled and motivated voluntary services coordinators

To support the delivery of our Trust volunteer strategy

To develop and promote Trust voluntary services across all hospital sites ensuring a quality service is delivered

To effectively manage, project lead, organise an effective volunteer service that meets the needs of the Trusts and identifies with National objectives

Ensure Trust voluntary services maintains high standards of governance, compliance to provide trust wide assurances and promote safe working practices for volunteers

Champion the roles of volunteers trust wide to encourage effective working relationships with staff at every level of the organisation

Provide accurate evaluation, reporting, data, and information to support the ongoing development of volunteering and future projects
