The Royal Marsden Hospital is the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe. We are looking for someone with an excellent technical background who is confident and proficient in delivering advanced radiotherapy including VMAT and breath-hold techniques. SABR is routine on the linacs, and with the addition of a M6 CyberKnife, we have expanded our busy SRS service to Sutton.

Our ideal candidate will be competent in IGRT (both EPI and CBCT) and be able to deputise for the Team Leader in their absence. Main duties of the job

1.1. The post-holder will be responsible for carrying out radiotherapy processes as prescribed, carefully and accurately and assisting in the operational management of a specialist highly complex radiotherapy work base, which may be a treatment unit, a brachytherapy unit, a CT scanner, VS area or a treatment preparation area, and supervising the immediate radiographic team in the absence of a team leader.

1.2. The post-holder will liaise with medical, physics, nursing, clerical and support staff within the department and throughout the institution. The key working relationships will be with the Senior I radiographers.

  • Maintain and develop own personal standards of care and technical ability.
