EPR Credentialed Trainer

This job is now closed

Job summary

The successful candidate will need a good understanding of workflows and processes within an NHS hospital. Although it is not essential for you to have achieved Credentialed Trainer status, as training would be provided for the right candidate, it would be desirable for you to have gained Credentialed Trainer status in at least one or two Epic applications. You will be, or become, an expert in the application area, troubleshoot problems and address questions from end users during training or when supporting the Epic helpdesk. You will work closely with the Principal Trainers, gaining knowledge in new workflows or upgrades and ensuring the training environment and curriculum are kept up to date.

Excellent organisational, planning and interpersonal skills are necessary, as you will be training new starters in using Epic to carry out their role and responsibilities and for ongoing support to all users to ensure Epic is used efficiently and confidently.

Additionally, much of this work requires close collaborative and co-ordinated working with colleagues across the Trust, including the EPR team, and with our partners at GOSH and with our EPR supplier Epic.

Flexible working is required, with a combination of remote, office and classroom based working days across the Trust sites. Staff will work within a team rota to cover scheduled training sessions, adhoc training requests, floorwalking and telephone helpdesk cover, which is currently open from 8 am-6 pm during the week.

Main duties of the job

As an Epic (EPR) Credentialed Trainer the post holder is responsible for:

  • Assisting with the delivery of the Trust's new electronic patient record (EPR) system training programme
  • Delivering day-to-day end-user training for members of RMH staff on multiple system packages
  • Successfully completing RMH's Credentialed Trainer training programme within a specified timeframe
  • Assisting with troubleshooting and testing the training to ensure it is safe, usable, secure and robust.
  • Answering calls and providing Epic support via the Connect Helpdesk.
  • Provide bespoke training or refresher sessions as required.
