An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced gynaecology oncology nurse to join our Clinical Nurse Specialist team. The post holder has a distinct level of responsibility to patients with gynaecology tumours in providing a comprehensive specialist nursing service to the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, working within a team of advanced practice nurses.The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and experienced, who enjoys patient contact and working in a multi-disciplinary environment to support the delivery of a quality service. You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, flexibility, reliability and have an organised approach to work.Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for a dependable and highly adaptable individual who is able to work independently and has the ability to fit in quickly as part of a team.

Main duties of the job
- To assist in the provision of professional and clinical leadership and expertise in the care of the patient with Gynaecological cancers, acting as a resource and consultant to provide information and support to patients, carers and staff.
- To lead and contribute to the formulation of policies.
- To lead and contribute to the formulation of patient information.
- To liaise effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary health care team so as to achieve a synchronised specialist service across both sites.
- To provide informal and formal teaching, e.g. academic courses provided by the School of Cancer Nursing and Rehabilitation.
