Job summary
An exciting opportunity has risen to join our team of Senior Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at University Hospital Sussex.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic and highly motivated, innovative practitioner to join our team and work across site at our ANNP Led Level 1 SCBU at the Princess Royal Hospital and our Level 3 tertiary NICU which includes surgery at the Trevor Mann Baby Unit NICU.
We have a new exciting structure with a two tiered team. The post holder will assume a senior ANNP role and have some additional non clinical duties and work on the Tier 2 SpR rota.
The successful candidate will work clinical with a non- clinical component which will encompass all four pillars of Advanced Clinical Practice and will contribute to service improvement and professional development.
This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds (£25000), and any role-specific criteria.
Main duties of the job
The post holder with cross cover Tier 2 duties (SpR rota equivalent) at Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and SCBU at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath. The primary base for posting will be at The Princess Royal Hospital Haywards Heath.
The ANNP promotes individualised family-centred holistic care for the neonate and their family, utilising their advanced skills set and knowledge base. The post-holder will provide clinical advice, support and teaching to their colleagues in the multidisciplinary team.
Using their advanced clinical skills set and knowledge, the post-holder will exercise professional autonomy in the delivery of safe, evidenced based care and deliver high quality medical management to all babies in their care within the neonatal unit, post natal ward and central delivery suite in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
The role is weighted as follows

20% Non-clinical

This is also time to ensure all 4 pillars of Advanced Clinical Practice are being achieved to continue your professional development as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. Which as a senior ANNP there is an expectation to lead on one of these pillars.

- Support junior colleagues on PNW
- Attending high risk deliveries on both sites.
- Leading on resuscitation and stabilisation on delivery suite at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards heath and TMBU.
