Job summary
Sussex Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship Post - Applications are invited for at least two Senior Clinical Fellow posts in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, with staggered start dates. Two fellows will be in post at any one time.

This is a clinical and research fellowship that will provide experience in the full range of shoulder and elbow surgery, co-supervised by three consultants: Prof Joideep Phadnis (Lead), Mr Richard Murphy and Mr Christopher Jukes.

Trauma
As the major trauma centre for the region, the fellow will be exposed to all aspects of shoulder and elbow trauma including tertiary referrals for scapula fractures and complex periarticular injuries of the shoulder and elbow.
Two Fellowship Posts
We have two post-CCT shoulder and elbow fellows at all times. The two fellows work as a team alongside our consultants and registrars in the unit and the Fellows will coordinate the day-to-day rota allocations for the residents and fellows in the unit as well as overseeing the research and MDT activity.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Basic Medical Degree
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
- FRCS (Orth) or its recognised equivalent.
- ATLS provide qualification (valid) or equivalent required for on call work
- Competencies equivalent to completion of ST6, as a minimum Competencies equivalent to completion of ST6, as a minimum

- Higher Degree (MSc, MD or PhD)
- Certificate of Completion of Training

- Understanding of clinical risk management
- Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
