Main duties of the job
The clinical duties of the post include the following:It is expected that the successful applicant(s) undertake full clinical duties on the Middle Grade Rota.o Responsible for all clinical aspects of Emergency work with 24/7 Consultant presence in theRSCH for advice o Responsible for all clinical and managerial aspects of Emergency work overnight in the PRHwith the Consultant on-call from home within 30 minutes from the hospital siteo 1-in-3 weekend frequency as a maximum o 1-in-8 night frequency as a maximumo Active participation in Teaching and supervising SHO Grade doctors.o Attendance in weekly 4 hour teaching sessionsThe non-clinical duties include an individually agreed portfolio which may be the chosen area ofinterest of the successful candidate(s).o Delivery of all aspects of the non-clinical portfolio based on individual agreement (job plan) o Individually agreed percentage of the contracted time available for non-clinical duties

- Full registration and a licence to practice with the General Medical/ Dental Council.
- Completed a minimum of 2 years in Emergency Medical work and 4 years as a DR Equivalent years' experience in a relevant specialty from other medical grades including from overseas will also be accepted.
- Previous UK medical work experience and/or full understanding of the medical structure in the UK
Desirable
- Evidence of teaching and training of medical/ dental students or trainees or allied health professionals
