University Hospitals Sussex is a regional teaching hospital across several sites following recent merger of 2 large trusts.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our neuropsychology team providing specialist clinical psychology input to patients with neurological conditions within our specialist regional neurosciences centre.As part of the department you will joining a vibrant, highly experienced and supportive team. You will have opportunities to grow your skills and be supported in further training needs. You will also have access to a wider Sussex based peer support network.
Main duties of the job
o To provide a specialist clinical neuropsychology outpatient service to patients within University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust regional neurosciences services.o To provide assessment, intervention and rehabilitation to adults presenting with stroke, acquired brain injury and neurological conditions, as needed.o To offer advice and consultation on psychological and neuropsychological care to members of the interdisciplinary team other relevant healthcare professionals, carers, and significant others.o To work autonomously within professional practice guidelines.o To identify and implement audit and research projects.o Involvement in the training, continuing professional development and supervision of qualified staff, trainee clinical psychologists, assistant psychologists and other healthcare professionals.
