The closing date is 28 December 2025
Job summary
Day-to-day care of patients on the adult neurosurgical and general Critical Care units. Full-time including participation in a full shift rota system (48 hours per week).
Applications are invited for appointment to Senior Clinical Fellow with specialist interest in Echocardiography (Post CCT, (certificate of completion of training) or within six months of CCT) for a Fixed Term period from February 2026 for 12 months.
The post is solely based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
This is an excellent opportunity for those who are looking to increase their experience in a busy tertiary intensive care unit and gain qualifications and experience in echocardiography post CCT.
This is a fantastic opportunity to train in echocardiography and we can support accreditation in FUSIC Heart, and both BSE Level 1 and 2. Posts can be extended up to 2 years for BSE Level 2 completion with mutual agreement. It is anticipated that about 40% of daytime activity will be protected for training in echocardiography on both the intensive care and in/outpatient echocardiography lists. An individualised schedule of echo sessions will be agreed after appointment of a successful candidate.
