Job summary

Providing Specialist Speech and Language Therapy Services to adults with acquired swallowing and communication disorders at Donald Wilson Neuro Rehabilitation Unit and St Richards Hospital Acute Stroke Unit.

The post holder will work within the Neurosciences SLT service as part of the University Hospitals Sussex Speech and Language Therapy Services

Main duties of the job

Assessing and managing complex communication and speech disorders following neurological injury

Assessing and managing complex Dysphagia following neurological injury

Working within a multidisciplinary team in both the neuro rehabilitation unit and acute stroke unit to design and implement needs based, personalised rehabilitation plans

Providing leadership and specialist advice to the SLT team working within the Neurorehabilitation and Acute Stroke pathways
