Please note:

We are happy to consider both part-time andfull-timeapplicants with a minimum of 23 hours per week.

Thisis ashift working role,across a 24/7 service includingnights,weekendsand bank holidays (12.5 hourstypicallyfrom 07:30 - 20:00 or 20:00 - 07:30).

Main duties of the job

Assistin the implementation of agreed plans of carealongsidethe wider team andincollaboration with serviceusers.
Assist members of the wider team to set up and perform clinical procedures.

Ensure clinical areasremainclean,tidyand well stocked.

Followingappropriate training, undertake clinical care includingmonitoring and recording vital signs, taking swabs, venepuncture, removing catheters and cannulasetc.

Support and teach parents the skillsrequiredtoestablishand maintain infant feeding.

This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds, and any role-specific criteria. Applicants for the Band 3 Maternity Care Assistant roles must be able to evidence a minimum of 2 years experience in the same role (Band 3 MCA within the NHS) to meet the salary requirements to qualify for sponsorship.

For this role it is essential that you have previous NHS or NHS primary care experience with a Care Certificate from an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation. Or that you are an internationally educated nurse/midwife/doctor who has worked in an acute NHS Trust within recent years with evidence of your degree verified by an ENIC report.
