Exciting Opportunity for Band 5 RN's to join the passionate nursing team on the Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) with an integrated Medical Day Case Unit (MDCU), and rotation into a newly opened purpose built Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC).

Main duties of the job
Clinical Assessment and Care Delivery
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of acutely unwell patients on arrival
- Initiate and deliver evidence-based care, including administration of medications
- Prioritise care needs using clinical judgement and early warning scoring systems
- Support rapid turnover of patients through timely interventions and safe discharge or admission planning
Collaborative Multidisciplinary Working
- Liaise effectively with doctors, ACP's, therapists and discharge teams
- Participate in board rounds, contributing nursing insights to clinical decision making
- Escalate concerns appropriately and advocate for patients in need of urgent care
Patient Experience and Communication
- Provide clear explanations and emotional support to patients and families
- Ensure patients understand their treatment plans, discharge advice and follow-up arrangements
- Maintain dignity, respect and confidentiality at all times
