An exciting opportunity has arisen within Frailty Medicine for a band 6 to become one of C8 ward's deputy managers.
Are you seeking a new challenge within an established Multi-disciplinary team? Do you have a passion for elderly care?
This opportunity would suit an enthusiastic, dynamic individual with strong proven communication and leadership skills, to assist the ward manager in coordinating the ward's daily activities. C8 is an acute elderly care ward which has a busy environment in which to work, and forms part of the frailty pathway of the division.

Main duties of the job
This post would suit a dynamic individual with good leadership skills to co-ordinate the ward's nursing team daily activities. Relevant knowledge and clinical experience in the provision of excellent patient focused, evidence-based care delivery is essential.
The post holder is designated to take charge of the department, on a regular basis.
Display strong leadership and positivity to the department team during times of increased pressure on resources, staffing crisis, or bed pressures, working with divisional leads to assess risks across the division and how these can be minimised
Working with patients, acting as their advocate , involving them in their care plans, assessing, planning , organising and delivering high standards of care whilst maintaining good ward management , documentation and organisational skills.
