Senior Early Years Educator

Full Time (Mon to Fri working a 9 day fortnight pattern)

The Candidate must have a min Level 3 NVQ in Childcare & Education AND have high levels of knowledge and Experience with the EYFS

Do you have experience of working in an Early Years setting? Do you have excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum? Are you a supportive team member who would be able to lead a small group?

The Sussex House Nursery, Royal Sussex County Hospital Brighton is looking for a qualified and very experienced Senior Early Years practitioner to lead a small team in our 2-3 year playroom.

We are a registered 67 place NHS workplace nursery caring and educating babies to preschool from 6 mths to 5 years of NHS employees.

We are looking for someone who is professional, supportive, motivated, flexible, and passionate about the care and learning of children under the age of 5 years.

Being adaptable, with strong teamwork attributes is important for this role.

Main duties of the job

As Senior Early Years Educator your role is to oversee the day to day running of the playroom, ensuring the educational and welfare requirements are met by the staff within the room.

We are looking for a highly competent candidate who with the support of play room colleagues will create a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children under the age of 5 years. To encourage the children's development and understanding through play and other learning experiences.

As the Lead in the playroom a good understanding of the delivering the Early Years Curriculum (EYFS) and working with Ofsted outcomes is vital.

The candidate must have prior experience of building and maintaining strong parent partnership working. They must show flexibility and adaptability as each day can be very different but equally enjoyable and imaginative. Being able to retain information, and use initiative and delegate duties is a must for this post.
