Job summary

We are pleased to offer an exciting Band 4 opportunity to support the delivery of a robust surveillance pathway for Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), in collaboration with the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance (SSCA).

Based across Worthing and Chichester, the role includes fortnightly attendance at the Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH) for team meetings, training and collaboration with the wider hepatology team to ensure strong connections and shared learning. Initial training will also take place at RSCH, with structured induction and continued support throughout the role.

The post is funded for 20 months on a fixed-term contract or secondment basis. The post holder will have a crucial role in supporting early cancer detection for patients living with cirrhosis, helping to improve outcomes through timely surveillance and coordination of care.

Main duties of the job

As a Hepatology Surveillance Navigator, you will work closely with the Hepatology CNS team and Consultants, supporting the coordination and monitoring of surveillance pathways for patients at risk of developing Hepatocellular Carcinoma. This includes ensuring timely patient engagement in surveillance protocols, tracking key milestones in patient care, and maintaining surveillance databases.
