Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide operational leadership in the development and delivery of high-quality, inclusive clinical education for the nursing workforce, working in close collaboration with the nursing, workforce, and Integrated Education leadership teams. They will lead the Clinical Education Nursing (Post-registration) team across all sites, ensuring the effective and efficient use of resources to drive improvements in clinical practice and patient care.
The role will ensure that education and development initiatives are aligned with Trust priorities and national standards. The post holder will oversee the continuous assessment of educational needs and the evaluation of programmes to ensure they deliver measurable improvements in care quality and workforce capability.
As a senior leader, the Clinical Education Lead will deputise for the Head or Deputy Head of Clinical Education (Nursing and Midwifery) to represent the Trust in internal and external educational forums. They will be accountable for maintaining robust governance arrangements and championing a culture of professional excellence and continuous learning.
