Job summary
We are looking for a motivated Band 6 Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist or Nurse with good respiratory experience to join our Chronic Respiratory Team at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester. The role is supported by team leads and very experienced support workers.
The post will involve working closely with therapy, nursing and medical colleagues to provide a high standard of assessment and treatment for patients.
The role will be in an outpatient setting working across the Home Oxygen team. If the successful applicant is a Physiotherapist this could also include respiratory physiotherapy outpatients and some pulmonary rehabilitation as required.
You will be working in a supportive Physiotherapy department with a strong focus on service development. Studying for relevant post-graduate qualifications is actively encouraged with funding opportunities available at the trust.
Main duties of the job
A Specialist Physiotherapist or Nurse within the Chronic Respiratory Service is a role for an experienced clinician who can independently manage a complex respiratory caseload across predominantly home oxygen services, with occasional requirement to support pulmonary rehabilitation services and opportunities to manage a respiratory physiotherapy outpatients caseload (Physiotherapist).
They will provide education for patients, carers, and relevant staff on a range of respiratory and physiotherapy principles and be responsible for supervising designated members of staff. Clinical governance and support will be provided by specialist physiotherapy Team Leads in each area and there will be opportunity to assist with service review and development.
