Job summary
Rare opportunity to join the neonatal team as a technical specialist.
This post is to cover PRH and RSCH along with the transport team. Medical devices used by neonatal services need to be suitable and available for use when required, many of the pieces of equipment in neonatal services are unique to neonatal care and are not in service in other areas of the Trust. Selecting, maintaining and training on this equipment requires a high level of clinical knowledge and technical expertise.
This post includes overall responsibility for medical devices used in the neonatal service. These responsibilities include maintaining, repairing and servicing complex medical and IT equipment. The post also is responsible for training in current equipment stock, selecting new equipment, supporting procurement processes, overseeing consumable stock management and technical support to specific IT systems unique to the neonatal service.
