Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, self-motivated Radiographer to work within our rapidly developing department; a 1 year opportunity to cover maternity leave is currently available at St Richard's Hospital
Our CT department has 2 Canon CT Scanners - an Aquilion 1 and an Aquilion Prism along with CT Expres injectors. We undertake a wide range of CT examinations including stroke, trauma, oncology, intervention, CT Colonography, and Cardiac CT
We are looking to appoint a Senior CT Band 6 Radiographer into our team to cover maternity leave. Candidates will have specialised knowledge of Radiology within the NHS , a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience and had previous general CT experience. Ideally the successful candidates will have experience in Cardiac CT and CT Colonography, but this is not essential and training will be given on the job as required.
We have a Radiographer led CTC service which the successful candidates will be instrumental in maintaining. Training will be provided for administration of Contrast, Buscopan and Loratadine under PGD.
You will be expected to participate in our out of hours CT on call system.
Main duties of the job
Day to do day running of our busy CT department, providing the best possible care to our patients
Undertake a wide range of CT examinations to a high standard including stroke, trauma, oncology, intervention, CT Colonography, Cardiac CT.
Supervising junior Radiographers and students
Liaising with Radiologists, service users, clerical booking teams to ensure an efficient service for our patients.
Participation in the out of hours CT service
