Job summary
This is a new post to enhance the already excellent Dermatology services of University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust based at Southlands, Worthing and St Richard's Hospitals. The primary role of the Dermatologists is to manage patients with high-risk skin cancers and complex medical dermatology cases. We are expecting the successful candidate to actively participate in the development of the Dermatology service at UHS, working closely with the established team across the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The clinical duties of the post include the following:
o Responsibility for seeing patients in out-patients, attend wards for reviews at the request of the in-patient teams and to develop the service so it can provide a high quality service for our patients.o Contributing to the training of nurses and other staff, and participating in the activities of the Postgraduate Medical Centre including Medical Audit.o Undertaking administrative duties associated with the care of the patients, and helping run the clinical department.

- oBasic medical degree
- oMRCP or appropriate specialist qualification
- oFull and specialist registration (with a licence to practise) with the GMC or be eligible for registration within six months of the interview. o If you trained in the UK, you must also have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Dermatology or be within six months of receiving it by the interview date. o If you trained outside the UK, you must provide evidence that your qualifications are equivalent to the UK CCT. (Equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC)
