Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our friendly Outpatients team as our Outpatients Administrator (Part time 24hrs, Monday-Friday)
This is a challenging role working with various different specialities and departments within Outpatients.
The successful candidate will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive, efficient and effective administrative service. The post holder will be required to work independently using initiative, and applying a high degree of confidentiality to all their work. To undertake non-routine duties within direct supervision, working within broad procedural guidelines.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
Main duties of the job
Working within a team the role is responsible for co-ordinating the operational functionality of the Outpatients Department, ensuring that space is utilised where possible, taking into account service needs in line with the Trusts performance against the National Targets.
Working closely with the Outpatients Sisters to support the management of the workforce including electronic rostering, arranging training and booking appraisals. Coordinating the purchasing and stocking of general consumables ensuring that the requested equipment is available for specialist services.
