Are you a Health Care Assistant working within the NHS?
We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, hardworking, patient centred individuals to work within Respiratory Same Day Emergency Care as band 3.
You will be putting your years of experience as well as your high level of knowledge and skill to use helping to provide high level care to our service users.
Main duties of the job
Contribute to implementing and progressing of a range of patient treatment and careprograms as delegated by a registered healthcare practitioner, and report back onprogress. This may involve:- Making minor modifications to the care/treatment plan within prescribed parameters- Supervision of individual or group patient therapy sessions- Timetabling and, or running patient activities (e.g., outpatient clinics)- Participate as an active member of the healthcare team:- Organising own day-to-day work tasks (with support available)- Participating in on-going training and development, and maintaining skills necessaryfor the role- Contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the service- Provide day-to-day supervision and co-ordination of junior staff.- Provide support and shadowing to new HCSW on the ward to complete induction andCare Certificate- To provide supervision and co-ordination of junior staff in the department- Demonstrate skills to junior staff, providing practical training- Administrative duties including, admitting patient onto CareFlow, mail box management, andbooking patients into clinic appointment.- Patient data entry into EXCEL document.
