Job summary

We are looking for a proactive and capable principal finance manager to drive the financial costing portfolio.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for ensuring that the patient level costing system is maintained and developed to provide high quality costing and service line reporting information to support business decisions; and responsibility for the National Cost Collection submissions.

Essential

  • Very Highly IT literate with detailed understanding of patient level costing systems, Transact-SQL, technical spreadsheet skills (VBA) and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Responsible for developing the Trust's patient level information costing system and reporting in line with national guidelines.
  • Ability to design and implement more generic data collection systems.

Experience / Qualifications

Essential

  • Masters degree or equivalent experience in Information Management, Financial Management or related discipline.
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) advanced level or equivalent experience

Desirable

  • Completion of CCAB recognised accountancy qualification

  • Specialist theoretical and practical knowledge and experience of patient level costing systems and processes, service line reporting and national cost collections.
