Advanced Bariatric Dietitian

Job summary

Part-time 15hrs per week (Thursday and Friday)

This post sits within the Bariatric Dietetic team at st Richards Hospital and works closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide dietetic care to patients before and after bariatric surgery.

We would love to hear from you if you have post-graduate NHS experience working within this speciality and a desire to demonstrate high standards of care with excellent communication skills,

Main duties of the job

This post works as part of the dietetic and multidisciplinary teams to provide highly specialist advice, education and support to patients, carers and other health professionals within the speciality of bariatric surgery.

This post would provide training to undergraduate Dietitians, supervising their clinical placements.

There is also the opportunity to participate in continuing professional development, audit and research within this specialist area to further best practice.

  • HCPC registered Dietitian
  • At least 3 years post graduate NHS experience with at least 2 years at senior level
  • Recent experience of working in the nutritional management of patients in this speciality

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
