Job summary
The Cancer division is one of 8 divisions and spans the entire Trust providing support and leadership of all aspects of cancer provision. UH Sussex is one of the largest providers of cancer care in the country and is the largest provider in the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance.
The role of Lead Cancer Manager will provide strong leadership and support to all divisions in the management of cancer patients across all the national cancer access targets. This role will work closely with the divisional leadership team in the development of cancer services helping to continuously improve our cancer pathways helping to ensure patients receive timely access and treatment for all cancer types.
Main duties of the job
The role will work closely with operational and clinical colleagues across all divisions, leading on cancer PTL meetings and providing direction and support to leadership teams across UHSx. The role will also have a strong working relationship with ICB and Cancer Alliance colleagues whilst also engaging with corporate directors across the Trust.
