Job summary
The Sussex Cardiac Centre in Brighton is continuing to expand and this is an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic and professional team.
We are an acute 11 bedded Cardiac Surgical Stepdown Unit, in a Tertiary Cardiac Centre. We provide excellent quality care to patients, pre and post cardiac surgery.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic nurse to join our friendly professional team.
Previous or current cardiac experience would be helpful and you will be working with our team in delivering the highest standards of nursing care.
If you are keen to develop professionally, you will benefit from the many educational and developmental opportunities available, along with the support of our cardiac surgery practice educator.
We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will work as part of the team to provide an effective, safe environment of care for individual patients before and after cardiac surgery as well as patients' relatives and carers.
- The post holder is also responsible and accountable for the total nursing care of patients allocated to them for each shift under the supervision of a charge nurse.
