Job summary
The Electronic Patient Records (EPR) programme is a new transformation programme at UHSx. The objective of the programme is to improve the digital capabilities at the Trust to enable all patients to have a digital health record. The programme will also ensure the Trust meets the NHSe digital framework capabilities. The programme will oversee the implementation of new applications (for example eNoting, a single portal, flow modules and a Trust wide eDMS).
Main duties of the job
The programme will be supported by a programme team who are local Trust experts in delivering change enabled by IT. The clinical redesign and engagement lead will be a key member of the EPR programme team.
The clinical redesign and engagement lead join a small EPR programme team (but one expected to grow). The successful candidate will be a conduit between the project team and the clinical users. Their role will be to engage and communicate with clinical teams to ensure clinical teams are engaged in the EPR programme and that there needs are reflected within the programme.
The clinical redesign and engagement lead will be key to understanding the benefits and opportunities that EPR could enable. They will work to quantify these benefits and to map the associated process change required to deliver these benefits.
Activities will align to the project plan. It will involve a mix of on-site engagement, workshop, observations and meeting in addition to virtual activities such as workshops and meets via teams. The times of day hour worked are flexible recognising that this will benefit the programme and also perhaps the successful candidate.
There is a requirement for solid IT knowledge but no specific equipment requirements.
About us
The successful candidate will work alongside all members of the EPR project team and the wider IT team. In additional to relationships with UHSx clinical staff other key relationships will be with the EPR programme manager, the communications lead, the lead chief information officer and the IT technical teams.
